Jinalay

Vision

Our vision is to create a serene, inclusive, and inspiring space for Jain worship and learning in San Diego, built with devotion and community spirit. The Jain Society of San Diego (JSSD) was founded nearly 30 years ago by a small group of devoted families when the Jain community in San Diego was just beginning to take root. For the first 15 years, the community celebrated Jain festivals, values, and traditions at Shri Mandir and in member homes, fostering a deep sense of belonging and spiritual continuity. With time, the community came together to acquire a dedicated property nestled in the city of Vista, approximately 30 miles north of downtown San Diego. As the Sangh has grown to over 200 families, both Shvetambar and Digambar temples have been lovingly established by repurposing Pathshala rooms. Yet, from the very beginning, the collective vision of the Sangh has remained steadfast: to build a traditional Shikharbandhi Jinalay. Today, we are at a pivotal milestone as we prepare to secure final city permits and begin construction. We warmly invite you to join our mailing list and stay informed about construction updates, design plans, key milestones, and Pratishtha Labh opportunities.
